  • March 20, 2023 Senior Letter to Parents, Guardians, and Relatives of 2023 Graduates: Please take a moment to read the letter linked below in its entirety, as it provides important dates to mark in your calendar and information for you and your graduate. Tómese un momento para leer esta carta en su totalidad, ya que proporciona información y fechas importantes para usted y su graduando.   • October 18: Balfour will be on campus to distribute Class Ring Information Packets in the man hall during the lunch periods.
  • October 25: Balfour will be on campus to pick up class ring orders in the main hall during the lunch periods.
  • October 25-26: Senior Picture retakes are Oct. 25-26 from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the auditorium. You must sign up for a time outside Room 203 Main and it is your responsibility to go to the auditorium. Seniors not photographed by Oct. 26 will NOT be included in the yearbook.
  • January 10: Balfour Graduation Packages - did you miss Balfour coming to campus in October? If you still need to order your invitations, cap & gown, etc., here is the link for all things graduation from Balfour
  • April 14: Deadline to reserve your seat and purchase your tickets for the Senior Day Trip to Fiesta Texas - tickets for this trip may be purchased through the PTSO Mule Store until Friday, April 14, 2023.
  • April 15: Junior/Senior Prom "The Neon 90's" at the Brick at the Blue Star Arts Complex - Prom will be held at The Espee, located at Brick at the Blue Star Arts Complex, 108 Blue Star, San Antonio, TX 78204, from 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM. Tickets are available for purchase on the Mule Store through April 14th for $40 or at the door for $50.
  • April 18: Senior Class Panoramic Picture takes place in front of the school. Students should arrive promptly at 8 am to participate. The photo will be taken promptly at 8:15 am. Any students arriving after this time will not be in the photo.
  • April 21: Graduation Slideshow Pictures. Email up to (3) pictures to [email protected]. All images must adhere to the Student Handbook policies, especially those rules regarding images with alcohol consumption and clothing that do not adhere to the school dress code. Pictures will not be used that violate the handbook policies. The administration reserves the right not to post pictures that may be questionable. If we have formatting challenges with your pictures, we will contact you ASAP to resubmit.
  • May 1: Scholarship Information must be turned in to the College Center by May 1st at 4:15 pm in order to be included in the printed graduation program.
  • May 15: Senior Awards Ceremony & Memories luncheon will be held on May 15th at 10 am in the AHHS Muledome.
  • May 16: Senior Exams Begin - please review the senior exam schedule and exam exemption guidelines.
  • May 17: Senior Send-off 4 - 5 pm. If you attended Cambridge or Woodridge, the teachers invite all graduating seniors to come back to their "home" campus and visit one last time.
  • May 21: Baccalaureate honoring the senior class will be held at 4 pm at Alamo Heights United Methodist Church with a reception to follow. This service is non-denominational and not affiliated with the school district. Graduating seniors should plan to arrive at 3:30 pm. Graduate attire: Traditional church or worship attire. The Baccalaureate Committee would love your financial support which makes this beautiful service a reality. Donations can be sent to Carrie Worthen: Venmo @Carrie-Worthen OR check payable to: Carrie Worthen, Treasurer and mailed to 102 Bryker, 78209.
  • May 22: Senior Exit Day - Seniors will report to campus for breakfast, cap & gown distribution, and clearing of all obligations.
    • Senior breakfast will be served at 9:30 AM in the Oaks.
    • Cap and gown distribution will take place in the gym from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. Seniors will receive their graduation parking pass (if purchased) at this time.
    • Seniors must have all obligations cleared (chromebooks/chargers, textbooks, library books returned; late or lost book fees paid; transcript fees paid, etc.) in order to receive their cap and gown.
  • May 23: Senior Day Trip to Fiesta Texas - tickets for this trip may be purchased through the PTSO Mule Store until Friday, April 14, 2023.
  • May 24: Graduation Rehearsal at The Freeman Coliseum (3201 E Houston St. San Antonio, TX 78219). Graduates must be in their assigned seats by 9:00 am. All graduates must be present in order to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you have an extenuating circumstance, please contact the Principal’s Office at 210-832-5720.
  • May 24: Graduation Ceremony at the Freeman Coliseum at 6:30 p.m. Graduates will be admitted into The Freeman Coliseum by wearing their cap and gown. Seniors must be in the designated staging area by 5:45 PM in their cap and gown.
    • Please be aware that there will be a $10 charge per vehicle for parking, for all graduation attendees. Parking for graduates may be purchased in advance at a reduced rate of $5 per vehicle (limit one per senior) at this link. If you do not have a My School Bucks account, you will need to create one in order to purchase. See instructions here. Any graduates who do not purchase a parking permit in advance will be charged $10 at the gate.
    • We encourage you to arrive early, doors will be open at 5:00 PM. Seating is first come, first served.
    • The following items are prohibited at the graduation ceremony: balloons, noise-makers, glitter, confetti, adhesive decals, stickers, or other decorative material.
    • During our graduation ceremony, AHHS seniors’ only “decorative” attire is the NHS stole, if they qualify. Students do not wear honor cords nor decorate their “cap”.
    • At the graduation ceremony, seniors will receive an envelope; however, their official diplomas will be given to them immediately following the ceremony. Before graduates are released to their families, we will distribute diplomas. Diplomas not picked up after the graduation ceremony will be available for pick-up in the high school’s Front Office during regular school hours.
  • May 24: The After Party - THE PLACE TO BE on Graduation Night, Project Graduation is now The After Party… and you don’t want to miss! Food Booths- Photo Booths - Hamster Balls - Dodge Ball - Sports Competitions - DJ - Silent Disco - Games and Raffles with LEGIT Prizes & Party Favors! (Think: electronics, cash, and tons of gift cards to your favorite spots.) Grab your friends and plan to spend one last night with the Class of 2023 before you all take off!
    • When: Graduation Night, May 24, 10 PM to 1 AM
    • Where: The Mule Dome and Patio outside
    • How: Tickets on Sale on Mule Market (Senior Celebration Package) now and at school in May.
    • Who: Seniors 2023 … (Entrance from 10:00 - 10:45, leave at your leisure or close it down!)
