COACH GOLD BIOGRAPHY

Braydon Gold was born and raised in San Antonio Texas, and has been a proud member of the Alamo Heights community since 2016. Currently in his 10th year as the at the AHHS, Coach Gold brings a total of 15 years of teaching and coaching experience to AHISD. He is a U.S. Soccer Federation licensed coach and was named the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches 5A Boys Assistant Coach of the Year for 2023. His passion for the game, and enthusiastic approach to leadership has strengthened the Mules Soccer program, and has enriched the lives of the student-athletes in which he’s coached.


After graduating from Churchill High School in 2008, Coach Gold went to college at the University of Texas at Arlington. While there, he actively volunteered his time and resources to various nonprofit organizations throughout the community. He played on the UT Arlington Men’s Soccer team from 2009-2010, and served as the team's head coach from 2011-2013. Gold graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors, and received a Bachelors of Fine Arts in the Winter of 2012. After his undergraduate studies, Gold received a full ride scholarship to the University of Texas at San Antonio for his artistic and academic achievements. He worked in numerous departments and taught as an adjunct instructor while at UTSA. Gold graduated with Summa Cum Laude honors in 2016, and received a Masters Degree in Fine Arts. 


Coach Gold’s passion for soccer can only be rivaled by a few things. His love for art is unquestionably one of them. Gold’s sculptures and paintings have been featured in exhibitions throughout the nation, and are owned by collectors and patrons from around the world. Coach Gold also has a profound love and respect for the US Military. He is a veteran of the US Air Force where he proudly served as an aircrew member aboard the C-5M Super Galaxy. He considers himself truly blessed to go through life wearing so many different hats, and feels that each one offers unique opportunities to make an impact in this world. Coach Gold is without a doubt a lifelong learner, a servant leader, and a proud Alamo Heights Mule!
